We welcome Andrew Foxall to Jackson Family Funeral Directors

Andrew Foxall has joined the Jackson Family team as a Funeral Support Operative. Andrew is continuing his career and now working towards a qualification to become a Funeral Director.

He says: “My first role within the sector was work experience when I was 15. In 2007 I joined the company Dignity as a Funeral Service Operative; managing the deceased and getting the cars ready for funerals, and bearing and driving on the funerals.”

After nearly 10 years, in 2016 Andrew joined Worcester Crematorium as a Technical Professional Officer, working within the chapel, office and Crematorium. In 2017 Andrew gained the Cremator’s License managing groundwork, including grass cutting, ashes interments, grave digging and memorial safety.

In addition, Andrew also enjoyed training other staff members and learning more about the job. When he joined Jackson Family Funeral Directors in 2023, he continued to work on his career and became a Trainee Funeral Director.

Andrew confirms: “This is something I’ve had in my sights for a while and started my training course in Funeral Directing in April. So far it’s going really well!”

Andrew is supported by mentor Amie Cook, Funeral Director of the Malvern branch, and also Sarah Hewlett, Funeral Director of Worcester branch, and Mark Campion, who worked with Andrew at Dignity and now as the Funeral Director of the Upton-upon-Severn branch.

Andrew concludes: “I am glad I have been given the opportunity to do the course of Funeral director because I enjoy helping others and making sure the people get their last wishes. I enjoy doing this job, all the people you meet and have a connection with is a great feeling, and knowing I’ve done my best to make sure it goes off better than expected.”
