Prior to the company’s formation in early 2018, Matthew had worked as a funeral director for both national and independent funeral directors.

Understanding how different sized companies focused on different methods of working and retaining profits highlighted to Matthew that the ethos of Jackson Family Funeral Directors should be to fulfil the wishes of a family, first and foremost.

Matthew started by making small amendments to the traditional style funerals, creating a more personal feel. Now, every funeral arrangement starts with a blank piece of paper and together, with a family, we built every aspect individually to create truly personal services.

Since 2018 the company has increased in size but more importantly increased its standards, options, creativity and passion. With each new member of the team comes new ideas, new ways to improve and ultimately a better service for those we serve.

In 2024, Amie Cook became part of the management team as the company’s Operations Director. Whilst Matthew focuses on finding new services, products and community engagement, Amie can help the team strive for the continual improvement of our high standards.
