The way we talk about dying, matters

“Dying Matter Awareness Week helps us to start the conversation around the difficult subject of death” – says Amie Cook, our Malvern-based Funeral Director.

With the aim of opening up the conversation around death, dying and bereavement, Dying Matters Awareness Week helps to bring an important and difficult subject to the forefront, to further address the wishes of families in their darkest hour.

This year Dying Matters Awareness Week focuses on ‘The way we talk about Dying Matters’ including the language that we use and conversations we have, around death and dying – specifically between healthcare professionals and patients, their carers and their families.

Jackson Family Funeral Directors are proud to be supporting Dying Matters Awareness Week which runs from 6th – 10th May 2024. We are once again offering free reviews of funeral plans to help start the conversation around the taboo subject of end of life.

“Dying Matters Awareness Week has always been a focal point for Jackson Family Funeral Directors as we’re dedicated to supporting families in the community. The week recognises that conversations around death are important.

…by offering free reviews of funeral plans. Receiving caring and compassionate end of life care, through to funeral wishes and wellbeing support after the passing of a loved one, creates a supportive environment for grief moving forward”.

As one of the very few remaining independent and family-owned funeral directors in Worcestershire, we continue to campaign for change within the industry providing a bespoke modern approach with the philosophy always being ‘your funeral, your way’.
