Our direct funeral service ensures dignified care throughout, giving you the freedom to remember and celebrate in your own way, at a time and place that feels right for you.
What’s included?
Our direct funeral service provides essential care with dignity and respect. The package includes:
- Collection and care of your loved one
- A simple coffin suitable for cremation
- All necessary arrangements and paperwork handled by our team
- Transport to the crematorium in our private vehicle
- Cremation fees at our chosen crematorium
- Return of ashes to you afterwards, if requested
This service doesn’t include a formal ceremony or attendance at the crematorium. There is no viewing, service or procession involved. The cremation takes place at a date and time of our choosing, allowing us to provide this service at a lower cost.
Unlike our other funeral options, we don’t offer coffin upgrades or additional services with a direct funeral. However, the simplicity of this option doesn’t reflect any less care or respect in how we look after your loved one. Every person in our care receives the same dignified treatment, regardless of the type of funeral you’ve chosen.
The process
When you choose a direct funeral, our compassionate team will guide you through the simple process. After your initial contact with us, we’ll arrange to bring your loved one into our care at a time that works for you.
We’ll help you complete the necessary paperwork and legal requirements, removing these burdens during your time of grief. Our team will liaise with doctors, hospitals and the crematorium, keeping you informed throughout the process. Once all arrangements are confirmed, the cremation will take place without a ceremony or attendance. We’ll contact you when this has been completed and arrange for the return of ashes if desired.
Many families choose to hold their own memorial event or celebration of life later. Separating the practical from the ceremonial gives you complete freedom to commemorate your loved one in a way and time that feels most appropriate for your family.
